I Want To Be a Model Leeds Success Story

Here at I Want To Be A Model Leeds we have been very busy helping new models, shooting on our ever popular One days, then helping (for free!) get models taken on by great agencies.

Over the past few months I have been running Open Day’s to help
aspiring models and parents to find out more about the industry,
take part in a variety of different photo shoots whilst learning about
different poses and expressions and ultimately, getting the
professional shots sent off to reputable model agencies.
The recent success of the Open Day’s has been fantastic. 12 out of
the 14 models who attended on the 2 nd of March had been signed to
reputable model agencies across both Leeds and Manchester within
just 1 month.

Meet Freya. I have been working alongside
Freya and her family for the past 5 years and
she has seen nothing but true success. Freya
first came to see me here at I WANT TO BE A MODEL LEEDS when she was just 14
years old for a model class, Freya took part in a
variety of different shoots and learnt the
basics. I then sent her photos off to reputable
model agencies across Leeds and Manchester.
Freya then got quickly signed to an excellent
agency in Manchester. Freya still comes to me
on a regular basis to update her portfolio and
also for support. She has now been signed with an agency in Leeds
called Face, Premier Inn London and she’s also been doing modelling
jobs recently with Intermarketing Agency for huge brands like
Adidas, Foot Locker and even JD Sports. She also got to feature in
Emmerdale a few weeks back! I have also built up a close
relationship with Freya’s parents throughout her modelling journey
so far offering advice and support.

Around 3 years ago I met Amy whose mum booked her in for a photo
shoot with myself and she said, “Matt gave me the confidence I
needed to begin my journey”. For many who come to see me here at I WANT TO BE A MODEL LEEDS and ask
how to get into the modelling industry it’s a lack of self-confidence
issue which has stopped them from progressing all along. Amy not
only gained more and more experience but
actually featured on TV shows such as Hollyoaks
and Emmerdale which was like a dream come true
for her. After gaining this experience she went
onto to working with well-known high street
brands just a few months on as well as being part
of a KFC advert, modelling on the catwalk at
Harrogate, bridal work and poster work for the
Yorkshire based ski company Tog24.
On the last Open Day on the 27 th of April, it was lovely to see Josie
and Freya come along and help out in the studio. They have both
gone on to do a fantastic job and truly follow their dreams. It’s great
to have them back to help out so that new and aspiring models can
see that you can follow your dreams and success isn’t so far out of
your reach.
